Aamir Khan Peepli Live nominated for Oscars

Mumbai: Aamir Khan's Peepli Live nominated for Oscars, controversy rages. Actor turned producer Aamir Khan is in news as his film Peepli Live has been nominated for Oscars. The debutant director Anusha Rizvi claimed that Aamir Khan want to take credit of her film. Her husband Mahmud Farooqi is the co-producer of the film. They are criticizing the way in which Aamir took the creative head of his own.
When Peepli Live was released in UK the filmmaker was completely unnoticed and her husband who is credited to have co directed the film.

The director said "Those who wanted the money, fame and credits wanted it more than us, so we left it to them and returned to Delhi. We removed ourselves from Peepli because it's difficult to disassociate a superstar producer from the film,"

'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na' the movie directed by Abbas Tyrewala, and Aamir produced it. It is said that some of its scenes shot again due to producer's demand.

Peepli Live is about farmers suicides in rural India and media reaction on the problems. It released in August which was directed by Anusha Rizvi and produced by Aamir Khan.

Peepli Live was the third film produced by actor after the success of Lagaan. Taare Zameen Par was chosen for the Oscars.
