Lady Gaga is the next Madonna

Swedish film and video director Jonas Akerlund, who helmed some of Madonna’s most popular videos, has predicted Lady Gaga to be the next Queen of Pop.

Akerlund, who worked with Madonna on her Ray of Light and Music videos, has directed Gaga’s new nine-and-a-half minute Telephone video, which also features Beyonce.

And while working with the ‘Poker Face’ star he couldn’t help noticing how similar she was to Madonna.

"I really don’t like to compare the artists that I work with, because they are all so unique and so different. One thing for sure is that Gaga is a true artist. She’s really a huge talent, and she’s such a hard worker. That makes me think of Madonna, because Madonna is always such a hard worker, more than anybody else," the Daily Star quoted Akerlund, as telling MTV.com.

He added: "She’s (Madonna) always very creative. She always goes back to creativity. She has so much politics around and all these stupid rumours and gossip and all that, and some artists manage to stay above that. So, in that sense, I’m fine with comparing (Gaga and Madonna), but then again, they’re so different.

"I also have 12 years with Madonna and I have two videos with Gaga; it’s the future to tell, but I think that Gaga has all the potential and all the tools and all the brain to take her creativity as far she wants to. But she’s great."

A lot has been written about the on-screen chemistry between Hrithik Roshan and Mexican hottie Barbara Mori, but both share a great off-screen chemistry also, according to the director of ‘Kites’ - Anurag Basu.

Talking to a news daily about the Hrithik-Barbara chemistry, Anurag recalled a humorous event from ‘Kites’, “We were doing an intense scene which had a long dialogue. Towards the end, Barbara was supposed to slap Hrithik. We okayed the scene. But Barbara asked me if it was possible to do a retake, because she wanted to slap Hrithik again. It was a prank, but I decided to play along. Duggu was very surprised when I told him we’d do the scene again because I’d already told him the earlier take was fine.”

With Basu frantically trying to convince Hrithik, the actor became cautious. “So when we shot again, just as Barbara was about to slap him, Duggu ducked and slapped her instead. Barbara was shocked. Then she realised that Hrithik had seen through her prank and everyone on the sets burst out laughing,” said a playful Basu.

Tiger Woods, wife snapped together for first time after infidelity scandal

Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren have been photographed together for the first time since the scandal that linked the ace golfer to several mistresses.

The New York Post was said to have published the picture showing the pair on the grounds of what appeared to be their Isleworth home.

A witness reportedly told the paper not many words passed between the duo during their short walk, according to Fox News.

Woods recently announced his comeback to the greens following the revelation of his extra marital affairs, his public apology for infidelity and a trip to rehabilitation centre for sex addiction.

He is due to return to the golf course at the Masters tournament in April.
